Adoption Update: Storm

“After losing both of our fourteen year old dogs within a month of each other earlier last year, my family and I never thought we would get another pet ever again. It wasn’t until I was volunteering with my student at the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter that I fell in love with Storm and just knew that I was ready to become a pet owner all over again.

After 3 long months of being at the shelter, Storm was definitely ready for her furever home.  As the holidays approached, I could not think of a better way to be filled Christmas joy than to bring Storm home. My dreams of a joyful Christmas were quickly shattered on December 20th when Storm was adopted by another family. The idea of adopting another dog from the shelter became unfathomable, being that I had gained so much love for Storm.

My family and I just kept holding on to the idea that if it was meant to be it would happen. Storm had been returned to the shelter, and on February 1st, destiny found its way and Storm became the most special addition to our family. Ever since, our family has felt so much unconditional love, happiness and warm cuddles. We thank the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter for an easy going experience and for hosting so many lovable animals just like Storm.
