The Cupid Fund provides medical treatment for shelter pets in need of extraordinary care.

The Cupid Fund is named after a sweet little dog who came to the shelter on Valentine’s Day. Cupid, as we called him, had been hit by a car and required special surgery that was more than the shelter could afford. Through the dedication of volunteers, staff, and a generous veterinarian, money for the surgery was raised. The Cupid Fund was set up to honor this special dog with the goal that our shelter will be able to help other pets who come to us in need of extra care.

Whether it’s emergency life-saving surgery for an injured cat, ACL surgery for a dog in pain, or surgery to repair a heart defect on a kitten so he has a chance to lead a long life, the Cupid Fund allows us to truly make Somerset Regional Animal Shelter what a shelter should be – a safe place where pets receive love and care until they go to their forever home.
